My Tintype Family Tree

If you don’t know already, I LOVE OLD THINGS! Especially old things connected to my family and its history.

I was blessed with my family’s old photos. And when I say old, I am not kidding. I inherited many Tintype photos, which I love dearly!

I created a “family tree” to show off these beauties. The base of my tree is my grandmother’s nut bowl containing my rock collection, and copper electrical wire creates the branches.

I can’t properly introduce you to these people; who they are has been lost with time. But a moment of their lives has been captured for us to enjoy.

About Mountain Light Jewelry

My name is Carly Burke and I am a jewelry artist living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA. I turned my hobby into a business September 2009 and have enjoyed using mostly copper and argentium silver wire and semi precious stones to create unique wearable art. I have also appreciated the challenge of jewelry photography, marketing, selling and learning to be a salesman.

I’ve commented here before but don’t think that worked either. I loved the pics and I said I appreciated Madi making me the bottle cap in memory of my Hogan with his paw print out of the little jewels…She’ll be talented just like her mother !! Thank you for all. Much love, Mary B.
