Earring Making and Display Piece

It’s always nice after a day of production to sit back and look at the end product.  I love making earrings, and that is a good thing since they sell really well.  I try to keep most of my work simple and elegant.  I see a jewelry purchase as an investment, and I want people to buy something that will be in their jewelry box for a lifetime.

Not only am I constantly in jewelry production, I am also constantly changing and adding to the display.  You will see in the picture a new necklace tray that will be added to the display this weekend.  It is a little tray from a junk store that had pears and apples painted on it.  I hot glued fabric to a piece of card board and then hot glued that to the tray and tada, a new display piece for $1!

About Mountain Light Jewelry

My name is Carly Burke and I am a jewelry artist living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA. I turned my hobby into a business September 2009 and have enjoyed using mostly copper and argentium silver wire and semi precious stones to create unique wearable art. I have also appreciated the challenge of jewelry photography, marketing, selling and learning to be a salesman.
